About Me

Hi!  I’m Caitlin, a stay at home mom of three (ages 9, 6, and 3).  I am very blessed to have been married for over 12 years to the love of my life, David.  I love God and try to live my life in a way that honors Him, although I screw up more than I would care to admit!  For the last 9+ years, my primary purpose has been centered around being a stay at home mom and homemaker.  I love Jesus, my family, friends, my church, playing and reading with my kids, reading novels, baking, eating what I’ve baked, reading blogs, watching TV, going on dates with David, and being creative.

Although I’ve been a mother for more than 9 years now, I still find myself searching for ways to make life easier – for the home to be more organized, for our days to run more smoothly, for my hours to be more productive, and for my patience to run deeper!  For a long time I have let the day happen to me and then gone to bed feeling like I have been working so hard with nothing to show for it.  Recently, I’ve been intentional about re-examining the way I spend my time and trying to be more productive.  I love searching for new ideas to use in this journey and thought that they might be helpful to others as well!

One thing I have realized above all else though, is that I need to be deliberate in setting aside time to feed my soul.  Scheduling time to read my Bible, pray, and journal, focuses me.  Setting aside an evening to read a few chapters of a novel relaxes me.  Sewing or crafting brightens me.  Having a night of board games with my family entertains me.  And going out on a date or girl’s night without my precious children energizes me.  It is easy to feel guilty for these “self-indulgences” when there are dishes to wash or laundry to iron, but feeding our souls makes us better in everything else we do.

So here I’ll be sharing fragments of my life, along with some of the ideas I come across that can be helpful to all of us moms in the important work that we are doing everyday.  I’ll also share fun or encouraging things I’ve picked up while I’m feeding my soul – Bible verses, book reviews, and crafting projects.

I would love to hear any helpful hints you have and find out what you are doing to feed your soul, so please comment or email me!
